You can either install it saperately (if you want to install RAC database) or use Fusion provisioning Wizard to create one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">To install Applications Transactional Database we need to run\u00a0<strong>Oracle Fusion Applications Provisioning Wizard<\/strong>\u00a0from\u00a0<strong>&lt;<em>framework_location&gt;\/provisioning\/bin<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>&lt;framework_location&gt;\u00a0<\/em>is same where we installed the framework in previous post. i.e.<em>\u00a0<strong>\/app\/fusion<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-bash-3.2$ <span style=\"color: red;\">cd \/app\/fusion\/provisioning\/bin\/<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">We need to temporarily set JAVA_HOME to jdk6 directory shipped with the installation media<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-bash-3.2$ <span style=\"color: red;\">export JAVA_HOME=\/u02\/stage\/jdk6<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-bash-3.2$ <span style=\"color: red;\">.\/provisioningWizard.sh<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Select &#8220;Install an Applications Transactional Database&#8221; option. Click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac3.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deselect the checkbox if you wish and click <strong>Next<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac4.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Click <strong>Yes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac5.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enter values as mentioned here and click <strong>Next.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Port: <strong>1521<\/strong> (we have kept it default, you can change it)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Installers directory location: <strong>\/u02\/stage<\/strong> (directory where we created the stage)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oracle Base: <strong>\/app\/fusion\/database<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Software Location: <strong>Will be populated automatically<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">OSDBA group: <strong>dba<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Global Database Name: <strong>fusiondb<\/strong> (you can keep any name you want)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Password: <strong>Oracle123<\/strong> (We have used Oracle123 for any passwords during the installation since it satisfies all requirements during this installation. You can keep any complex password you want)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac6.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once prerequisites check is successful, click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac7.png\" \/>Verify summary and click <strong>Install <\/strong>to start installation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Note: This will install the software as well as create a database named &#8220;fusiondb&#8221; which we provided earlier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac8.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once Installation completes (20% progress), it will prompt as follows.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac9.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open another window and run the following scripts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">root@ad002aph01 # <span style=\"color: red;\">\/app\/fusion\/database\/product\/11.2.0\/dbhome_1\/root.sh<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check \/app\/fusion\/database\/product\/11.2.0\/dbhome_1\/install\/root_ad002aph01_2012-12-18_12-08-54.log for the output of root script<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">root@ad002aph01 # <span style=\"color: red;\">tail -f \/app\/fusion\/database\/product\/11.2.0\/dbhome_1\/install\/root_ad002aph01_2012-12-18_12-08-54.log<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The following environment variables are set as:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ORACLE_OWNER= fusion<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ORACLE_HOME= \/app\/fusion\/database\/product\/11.2.0\/dbhome_1<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Creating \/var\/opt\/oracle\/oratab file&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entries will be added to the \/var\/opt\/oracle\/oratab file as needed by<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Database Configuration Assistant when a database is created<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finished running generic part of root script.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now product-specific root actions will be performed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finished product-specific root actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Click <strong>OK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac10.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once installation till validation is complete, click <strong>Next<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oratraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/122512_1044_InstallOrac11.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Review the summary and click <strong>Close<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Reduce memory size of database<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We will reduce the size of SGA and PGA to avoid getting out of memory in server since fusion requires too much memory.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt;\"><span style=\"color: red;\"><strong>Important Note:\u00a0<\/strong>We are reducing the SGA and PGA (from 10GB to 2GB). We are doing this since we are running on lesser RAM than required. This is not recommended for production installation but since this is only a demo\/development installation, you can safely do this. If you wish to keep it 10GB you can do it but this will increase the swap usage exponentially.<\/span><span style=\"color: #666666;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 9pt;\"><span style=\"color: red;\">Since we are reducing the size of SGA and PGA, next step (RCU) may fail in pre-requisite check. So we will need to change the pre-req check xml file to look for lower value.
